AKSARAY EXPORTS BREAK A NEW RECORD IN 2022

Aksaray Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Ahmet Koçaş stated that Aksaray's export figures were announced as $214 million and increased by 25.30% compared to 2021. “The export figures of Aksaray, our province, which our Project and Consultancy Office received from TIM, were announced as $214 million in 2022, and a new record was broken for our province in the history of the Republic, and our exports increased by 25.30% compared to 2021. In our country, exports increased by 12.90% compared to 2021.

Our province ranked second among the TR71 provinces (Kırıkkale-Kırşehir-Nevşehir-Niğde), after Kırşehir. In 2022, the most exported countries from our province are respectively; Bangladesh (17.8 Million $), Bulgaria (16.6 Million $) and Iraq (12.6 Million $). In addition, other countries that attract attention as new export markets by increasing compared to the export rate in 2021; Algeria, Sri Lanka, Gabon, the Philippines, Spain, Angola, the Czech Republic and Saudi Arabia. Unlike the year 2021, the countries to which a significant amount of exports are made from scratch are Kenya, Dominican Republic, Benin, Guinea Bissau and Japan. In 2022 exports, Aksaray's Leading sector was Machinery and Accessories with $128 Million, while the Chemicals and Products sector took the second place with $15 Million, and the Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals sector took the last step of the podium with $14 Million. The leader of the year was the Chemicals and Products sector in the province of Istanbul with $17 billion. Our sectors showing the biggest growth in exports in 2022 compared to 2021; Ornamental Plants and Products, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables, Cereals, Legumes, Oil Seeds and Products and Air Conditioning Industry.

The year 2023 is the 100th anniversary of our country, and this year, as Aksaray Business World, we will break new records by surpassing the year 2022. Aksaray has become one of the biggest industrial cities of our country today and I would like to thank all our exporting companies who contributed to this success and helped our city break a new record in the history of the Republic, and I wish success in 2023.
