Aksaray Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ahmet Koçaş, stated that our heroic women, who play important roles at every stage of life, have always had a great share in the development of our country with their self-sacrificing work, in his statement; “The grandchildren of the self-sacrificing, generous and courageous women who carried bullets to the front during the War of Independence have undertaken the same role today. Our women undoubtedly have a great role in transferring our culture and traditions, national and spiritual values to the next generations.

When we look at Turkish history, Turkish women have always been held in high esteem and women have always been valued. Especially in the Republic of Turkey, which was enlightened by Ataturk's revolutions and principles, women were given democratic rights before many European countries, and women took their deserved place in social life. Our women, from Nene Hatun to Kara Fatma, from Halide Edip to Sabiha Gökçen, who made history with their courage, heart and sacrifice, were followed by Bahriye Üçok's and Türkan Saylan's, and our country rose on the shoulders of our women in every field.

In the second century of our Republic, our women will be the main actors in our country that will enable us to look to the future with confidence and hope. Every year, March 8 is dedicated to the development of women's political and social awareness on the basis of human rights and the celebration of their economic, political and social achievements.

On this occasion, March 8 International Women's Day, where women's equality with men is defended and their economic, political and social achievements are celebrated, will be held on Friday, March 8, at the conference hall of our Aksaray Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the program organized by TOBB Aksaray Women Entrepreneurs Board. "I invite all our people to the program organized by our board of female entrepreneurs, and I congratulate March 8, International Women's Day."
