2019 GULHANE PIZZA
In Aksaray, 52-year-old Müşerref Şentürk became the boss of
his own business in the pizzeria he opened with the grant he received by
applying to the "Project for Establishing Your Own Business for Disabled
and Ex-Convicts" organized in Aksaray Chamber of Commerce and Industry
with the cooperation of İŞKUR and ATSO.
In the Ortaköy district of Aksaray, 52-year-old Müşerref
Şentürk, who contributed to the household budget by cooking at weddings and
mawlids, became the boss of his own business in the pizza shop he opened with
the support of a grant.
Şentürk, who has a disability report of 58 percent due to
diabetes, applied to the "Own Business Project for Disabled and
Ex-Convicts" after attending the course opened by İŞKUR in 2018.
Şentürk, who opened his shop with the support of 42 thousand
liras upon the approval of the project he prepared, provided employment to four
women as well as serving the people of the district.
Müşerref Şentürk, in his statement, said that he has been
living with the dream of starting his own business for years and has been
making plans about it.
Explaining that he applied as soon as he heard about the
project opened by İŞKUR, Şentürk continued as follows:
"Desperately, I went to İŞKUR and applied. Thank God
the grant came out. I went to the course for a week. Then I applied for the
grant. It was accepted. I received a grant of 42 thousand lira. I set up this
shop with him. "I bought my chairs and other materials. Thus, I set up my
own business. I currently employ 3-4 people at my workplace. I am happy to
realize my dream."
"We make 11-12 types of pizza"
Şentürk advised all women to attend İŞKUR's courses and to
open their own businesses by receiving grants and support both the country and
the family economy.
"This place has been an incomparable blessing for me.
Previously, I used to make a living by cooking weddings and mawlid dinners for
people I know. I love this profession. I don't just make pizza, I make ravioli,
women spend their days here now. The idea for pizza was my son's idea. I love
breakfast and pastries. I was going to open a restaurant that makes pizza, but
we opened a pizzeria shop with my son, who is my biggest supporter. My son
worked as a pizzeria in England for 3 years. With his help, we opened our shop,
thank God. We make 11-12 types of pizza. Thank God, our business is going very
well. "
One of the customers, Sevtap Fidan, emphasized that she
always loves the restaurant and recommends the pizzas to everyone.
Stating that they are happy to have such a business in a
small town, Fidan said, "We always come with my children. As women, we
also support our sister who opened the business. We come as a family, spend
time and eat and go home." he said.
